Filtration applications within the food and drink industry are numerous and varied including blending, drying, milling, roasting and a host of ingredient specific processes.

Food ingredients take many forms and their handling can be both challenging and problematic. The dusts handled and generated can range from the very fine to very coarse and abrasive with hygroscopic dusts - dusts which are inherently sticky being commonplace. In addition, many of these dusts can be classified as potentially explosive and filtration equipment and the media employed must often carry the requisite conductivity certifications that permit their use in such environments.
