A high-performance filter media delivering a host of benefits for industrial dry filtration applications. Each product in the Duotech range comprises a base textile substrate onto which an expanded microporous PTFE membrane is laminated. The membranes we employ are able to arrest very fine dust particles on their surface whilst being permeable to gas through the billions of tiny pores that make up their construction.
The membrane is laminated to a substrate for reasons of support alone with particulate in the process gas being collected on the surface of the membrane with no reliance on the formation of a surface cake for collection efficiency, especially useful when considering non-agglomerative free-flowing dusts. The low surface energy of PTFE ensures excellent cleanability with near complete removal of dust from the filter surface at each cleaning cycle.
By inhibiting the penetration of dust particles into their structure, filter bags manufactured from Duotech can be expected to outlast those of alternative conventional filter fabrics while particulate matter emissions can be maintained at exceptionally low levels throughout the life of the bags. Duotech can also provide end-users with a number of additional performance benefits such as reduced and stable filter pressure drop leading to increased system flow rates and throughputs, reduced fan power consumption, optimized cleaning regimes and reduced maintenance work.
In simple terms, Duotech can reduce the total cost of ownership for many baghouse systems.
The Duotech range includes a combination of PTFE membranes and associated substrates to permit its application across a wide variety of fabric filter applications with continuous operating temperatures up to 260°C. A number of anti-static options are also available.
